paradise duck

in room 4 for homework we had to write a short report about on of the animals that can be found in a new zealand river.we had to include information about: habitat, what it eats, challenges it faces, what could be done now, and in the future to save the species.

Paradise duck/ putakitaki / putangitangi

The paradise shelducks usually live as pairs grazing on grass and weeds, and will raid crops, particularly when molting.
The paradise shelduck((tadorna variegata) is a large goose-like duck endemic to New Zealand. It is a shelduck, a group of large goose-like birds which are part of the bird family Anatidae.. The genus name tadorna comes from Celtic roots and means "pied waterfowl. Known to the Māori as putangitangi but now commonly referred to as the "paradise duck", it is a prized game bird. The paradise shelduck is so widespread and large as to be without conservation threat. Excessive hunting in the past seriously impacted numbers, and 2-3 decades of cautious exploitation was needed to restore their abundance and expand their distribution.

olympic story

Uneven bars
“AND NOW EBONY IS ON THE BARS NEXT REPRESENTING NZ”
I have been waiting for this moment my life, 11 years of training. I dip my hands into the tub of chalk, then step out onto the mat. Staring at the bars i visualise my routine…..then I jump, flipping myself onto the bar. After 1 whole minute of flipping and cheering i swing off doing a front twist and land perfectly, the crowd goes wild. I can hear my name being cheered and i now realise that i've got gold -_- two hours later-_- i hear my name being called to go up on the podium and a gold medal is placed around my neck i feel a smile forming on my face from ear to ear

we had to choose a sport from the olympics and write about it with yourself (me) as the main character

Too shy for hi

I wanna say "hi"
But it comes out as "bye"
Never say "hi"
never say "hello"
Don't you remember
don't you know
that we threw the stones
and built a wall
so thick that i cant hear you anymore
